Position involves sales of slag aggregates to architects, engineers, contractors, constructers etc., providing customer service, developing sales plans, project quotations, scheduling with production on product needs and facilitating shipments. Client face to face meetings expected to be 60 to 80% of work effort. Primary sales territory is the city of Chicago and the entire State of Illinois.
Develop City of Chicago and related organizations as clients
Develop strategic sales and marketing plans
Budgeting and forecasting sales
Analyzing customer segmentation
Travel required – including some overnight stays
Partner with operations to maximize customer and product mix to improve overall performance
Active participation in State trade and technical associations.
5 – 7 Years; Knowledge of asphalt, concrete, aggregate, engineering and heavy highway construction industries
Bachelor’s Degree in civil engineering, construction management, business or equivalent work experience
Required Skills or Abilities:
Knowledge and understanding of Heavy Highway construction
Ability to perform well in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
Strong analytical and reasoning abilities
Well-developed interpersonal skills – ability to get along with diverse personalities
